Beyond Spaces was founded in Athens in January 2012 by Maria Nikolakaki and Themis Zouganeli to bring exceptional and rarely-rented Greek Island villas to the attention of discerning luxury travellers, who are looking for an exceptional private escape where they can enjoy the Greek Islands at their most indulgent and authentic best. The name Beyond Spaces, was chosen to mirror a ‘far beyond-expectations’ service proposition, aiming to set new standards in elite travel and open doors that remain firmly shut to others. After an international search, Nucleus was selected and commissioned to design a brand identity and website to bring this unique proposition to life, targetting a discerning international audience with browsers as likely to use an iPhone or iPad as a laptop.
First, the brand identity was designed around a symbolic concept of reversed ‘gullwing’ or ‘curly’ brackets, to communicate the ‘beyond current boundaries’ proposition, applying a contemporary cool visual language combining crisp typography and colourways chosen to counterpoint the familiar Eastern Mediterranean palette of azure and cobalt blues, olive greens and whitewashed walls. Second, a ‘teaser’ website created a series of holding pages whilst the main website was designed and built. Third, the main website was designed to express Beyond Spaces’ brand proposition and showcase the exquisite villas on offer with an easy-to-search navigational architecture that enables browsing by island or by size or type of villa. A Private Collection of exclusive villas, never rented before, is available to serious enquiries by private invitation. Villa enquiries are made by availability request form or by telephoning Beyond Spaces’ concierge. As with all Nucleus’ current digital work, the website has been designed to cater for PC, tablet and smartphone browsers.
As the website was launched on May 2nd 2012, results are not yet available.
