Brief
The NHS is a hugely complex organisation that lies at the heart of the UK’s health and welfare system. We have been associated with different aspects of the NHS over the years, either through direct contacts or via government agencies such as the Department of Health or the Central Office of Information.
Our briefs have been varied, and cover many aspects – from specialist publications for the NHS Executive, to a major form rationalisation exercise, to brand consultancy, to internal communications, to brand audits and brand guideline work. We have also been involved in a significant networking strategy for data, voice and mobile projects, which included an NHS-wide data security policy.
Solution
In every case, we have used our experience and methodologies to offer up the most appropriate and cost-effective solution. We understand the culture and pressures that often lie within the organisation, and we are well versed in working closely with a wide set of project stakeholders. Our attention to detail and our ability to see the wider picture has always been appreciated in this context.
Results
Each project has resulted in a successful outcome for our client. For example, in the case of the NHS Patients Not Paper initiative, we rationalised 22 GP forms down to 4, also making them unambiguous, approachable and easy to use. This style was then used and extended within other primary care units. Our involvement with the networking strategy contributed directly to the procurement process for managed services and an approved supplier list for IP contractors, throughout the English and Welsh healthcare community.
