Brief
Nick Bashall is one of Britain’s leading portrait and military artists. Commissioned by private individuals from all around the world and organisations like the Parachute Regiment, he wanted to create a universal ‘portfolio’ to explain his work, which could be reviewed at any time, from any location.
Solution
Nucleus first defined a structure that would reflect the variety of Nick Bashall’s work, dividing work into portraits and military commissions and differentiating oils from charcoals. A suitable content management system, Kentico, was identified and the site design began. As with any artist’s website, their work must come to the fore, so the site design combines disciplined layout with easy navigation around the paintings and drawings, with the ability to enlarge images or zoom in to details. SEO was planned and implemented to propel Nick Bashall towards the top of search engine results for key search words and phrases.
