Teletext Holidays appointed Nucleus during late 2006 to define a UK travel concept that would become a one-stop-shop for anyone wanting to travel or stay in the UK.
We defined the customer proposition and then recommended the name ‘Stay in the UK’ before developing a user-friendly website that integrates hotels, cottages, bed & breakfast, parks and events into one UK-focused website within the Teletext Holidays portal. Multiple web service feeds were integrated by our offshore team under our partnership with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), working under the direction of our UK technical team. The solution was based around Ektron 400 CMS content management system, which allows easy editing of content. Analytics are by Omniture.
The site launched in July 2007 and immediately proved the concept was commercially attractive. During 2008 and 2009, ‘Stay in the UK’ was one of Teletext Holidays most successful concepts.
