David Gilbert

David is our senior brand consultant, with extensive experience of business sectors and markets around the world – both online and offline.

His career has focused on the creation, naming, implementation and management of both B2B and B2C brands for organisations – ranging from multinationals to start-ups. David’s role within Nucleus also encompasses brand strategy, brand naming, brand propositions, new business development and project management.

He has been closely associated with a number of long-running client relationships and high profile brand projects whilst at Nucleus. Currently, these include a series of brand proposition and communication projects for Rothschild Private Banking & Trust, Rothschild Global Financial Advisory and Rothschild Reserve, the evolution of the YHA brand and work on the European Banking Authority brand.

Other significant appointments have involved being brand advisor for Cable & Wireless for nine years, spanning a comprehensive range of global brand strategy issues – including brand proposition, brand mergers and acquisitions programmes. He has also worked with Logicalis (the international ICT solutions provider) for six years, and The Jéronimo Martins Group (Portugal) on their portfolio of supermarket and retail brands for four years.

Whilst at Nucleus, David has also worked on brands such as FSA, Superdrug, UPC, NatWest Markets, OPP, Sodexo, Ede & Ravenscroft and the NHS.

Prior to joining Nucleus, David worked for Landor and Lloyd Northover in associate and design directorship roles. He graduated with a BA (Hons) degree from Kingston University and The University of the Arts, London.
