Nucleus' short 12 month ownership by Adera, the Swedish e-consultancy, came to an end yesterday with the closing of the Management Buy Out, first announced on November 16th and approved by an Extraordinary General Meeting in Stockholm on December 4th.
During a year of changing fortunes for the publicly quoted Swedish group, Nucleus' strategic fit with its former, increasingly domestically-focussed, parent became less and less relevant. As a result, Peter Matthews, Nucleus' founder and managing director, proposed a Management Buy Out of the brand experience-focussed consultancy, via a new entity, Nucleus Group Ltd.
