Teletext appoints Nucleus to create new luxury brand

Teletext, the TV-to-Internet information provider, has announced ambitious plans to expand its online holiday business for 2007 with the launch of new luxury brand in the Spring. Nucleus, the brand, internet and intellectual property consultancy has been appointed to create the new brand and website.

The new luxury brand follows earlier announcements regarding a range of new endeavours to expand the Teletext brand into niche markets. The luxury site will target affluent travellers not traditionally served by Teletext Holidays.

With 1.3m visitors a month to the existing Teletext Holidays website, Teletext is already an important player in the UK online travel market. Matt Cheevers, Teletext Holidays' Online Commercial Director, said that Teletext is creating dynamic and inspirational specialist websites to offer the most comprehensive range of holiday products, all sourced from leading suppliers. "Our aim is that consumers will recognise these as being the Internet search engines of choice when looking for a luxury holiday."
