A new mobile landscape is emerging
With the launch of the iPhone 4S and continuing success of the iPad (326m devices forecast to be sold by 2015), the mobile website browsing market is expected to continue expanding rapidly, especially in the luxury sector, where month-on-month growth is running between 10-20%, according to Nucleus’ own survey of travel brands. Nucleus believes mobile devices will account for a quarter of all luxury brand website traffic by the end of 2012.
Just yesterday, October 26th, comScore, leaders in measuring the digital world, published its latest overview across the five leading European markets (UK, France, Germany, Italy and Spain) finding smartphones and tablets are now driving nearly 5% of all digital traffic and Apple iOS now accounts for 31% of all mobile and connected devices sold and 61% of all non-computer traffic to websites.
