The website has been designed to encourage healthcare professionals and other stakeholders, including patients, to engage directly with SNOMED International.
Nucleus designed the information architecture and user experience and then built the site to meet all the client’s aspirations for a fully responsive, mobile-friendly website, with a contemporary user interface. Content has been written with an accessible tone of voice, and layout features such as accordions allow users to explore deeper content, without the page becoming difficult to browse.
The information architecture incorporates well-defined user journeys and destination points. Calls to action on each page offer suggestions for content, news and support – including a help center.
The website is a platform for SNOMED International to establish deeper engagement with all users, and help determine the future needs of its widening global community. The organisation’s products and services – such as education – are becoming available as valuable online resources.
A Kentico CMS platform ensures a flexible and scalable technical framework for further development, while Nucleus built a bespoke search tool to help users find relevant content for sometimes very complex medical terminology search terms.
The website was launched to coincide with the annual SNOMED CT Expo – a global event based around SNOMED International services and products.
