As part of their GDPR programme, Carnival UK brand P&O Cruises realised that it was necessary to refresh the marketing consent data that was held in their customer databases. They commissioned us to integrate Gigya, an automated profile management application to manage compliant profiles, preferences, opt-ins and consent settings.
We first delivered a solution to encourage existing customers to update their preferences by following a link from an email to a preference page with auto-logon. This was then extended to a full customer account facility, integrating with Gigya, where users can securely register, re-set passwords and log on, update preferences and contact details, as well as check their cruise history and loyalty points.
New brochure requests forms, competitions forms and email sign up forms to feed into the Gigya application will encourage users to interact with the preference centre and enable Carnival to market to them while complying to GDPR regulations.
